Niclosamide Tablet IP 500mg is a generic antiparasitic medication used primarily to treat infections caused by tapeworms, including broad tapeworm, fish tapeworm, dwarf tapeworm, and beef tapeworm.  It may also be used for other tapeworm infections as determined by a physician. The drug works by disrupting the energy metabolism of the worms, leading to their death and natural expulsion through stool. 

  • Strength: 500mg per tablet

  • Dosage Form: Chewable, un-coated tablets (as per some manufacturers) or film-coated tablets (as per others)

  • Route of Administration: Oral

  • Therapeutic Use: Antiparasitics

Fenbendazole 888 mg is a high-strength, broad-spectrum antiparasitic medication used to treat a variety of intestinal worm and parasite infections in humans, including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms (such as Taenia and Echinococcus), Strongyloides stercoralis, and Giardia lamblia.  It belongs to the benzimidazole class of drugs and works by binding to the tubulin proteins in parasite cells, disrupting microtubule formation, inhibiting glucose uptake, and ultimately starving and killing the parasites. The 888 mg tablet is manufactured by Kachhela Medex Pvt.  Ltd. under the brand name Wormentel 888 and is available in packs of 10 tablets per strip.  It is typically taken orally once daily for 3–5 days, or as prescribed for chronic or resistant infections. The medication is generally well-tolerated but may cause mild side effects such as nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, headache, or dizziness. It is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women, individuals with liver disease, or those allergic to benzimidazoles
