Clomifene Citrate 50mg Tablets I.P. are oral tablets used primarily to treat infertility in women caused by ovulatory dysfunction, such as in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).  The active ingredient, clomifene citrate, is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that works by blocking estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, thereby stimulating the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), which promote ovarian follicle development and ovulation. 

Each tablet contains 50 mg of clomifene citrate (International Pharmacopoeia, I.P.) and is typically administered as a 50 mg dose daily for 5 consecutive days, starting on the 3rd to 5th day of the menstrual cycle.  Ovulation usually occurs 5–10 days after the last dose.

Key characteristics:

• Appearance: White to pale yellow, round, scored tablets (e.g., embossed with "HG C50" or "D"). 

• Inactive ingredients: Lactose, maize (corn) starch, magnesium stearate, sucrose (in some formulations). 

• Mechanism: Acts as a nonsteroidal ovulatory stimulant; a mixture of two isomers (cis-zuclomiphene and trans-enclomiphene), with the cis-isomer having longer half-life and greater estrogenic activity. 

• Indications: Ovulatory dysfunction, PCOS, unexplained infertility. 

• Dosage: Initial dose is 50 mg/day for 5 days; may be increased to 100 mg/day in subsequent cycles if needed. 

• Contraindications: Pregnancy, liver disease, unexplained vaginal bleeding, ovarian cysts, or known hypersensitivity. 

• Side Effects: Common side effects include hot flashes, mood swings, breast tenderness, headaches, nausea, and abdominal discomfort. Serious but rare risks include ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), visual disturbances, and multiple pregnancies (5–10% risk). 

Tadalafil 20mg tablets are a prescription medication classified as a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor.  They are primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult males, helping men achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated by increasing blood flow to the penis.  The medication works by relaxing the smooth muscles in blood vessels, enhancing blood circulation. 

In addition to ED, tadalafil 10mg is used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which involves an enlarged prostate, helping to reduce symptoms like difficulty urinating and frequent urination.  It is also indicated for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), where it relaxes blood vessels in the lungs to improve blood flow and reduce strain on the heart. 

The tablet is typically taken at least 30 minutes before sexual activity, with or without food, and its effects can last up to 36 hours.  The recommended dose is 10mg, with a maximum frequency of once per day.  For men who require frequent use, a daily low-dose regimen (e.g., 5mg once daily
