Mechanism of Action: Nebivolol works by blocking beta-1 receptors in the heart, which slows heart rate, reduces the force of heart contractions, and relaxes blood vessels. This leads to decreased blood pressure and improved cardiac efficiency.

Pharmacokinetics: It is metabolized via CYP2D6 and glucuronidation. The active isomer (d-nebivolol) has a half-life of about 12 hours in extensive metabolizers and up to 19 hours in poor metabolizers. The drug is excreted mainly in feces and urine as metabolites.
