Modafinil 100 mg tablets are oral medications used to promote wakefulness in adults with excessive daytime sleepiness due to narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS), or shift work sleep disorder (SWSD).  Each tablet contains 100 mg of modafinil, a wakefulness-promoting agent that works by increasing extracellular dopamine levels through inhibition of the dopamine reuptake pump, while also activating glutaminergic circuits and inhibiting GABA, an inhibitory neurotransmitter. 

The tablets are white to off-white, capsule-shaped, uncoated, and debossed with '41' on one side and 'J' on the other (as per Aurobindo Pharma's formulation).  They are intended for oral use only and should be swallowed whole with water, typically taken as a single morning dose, though split dosing (morning and noon) may be used under medical supervision.

• Dosage: Typically taken once daily, with or without food, as prescribed. Dose adjustments may be needed in patients using strong CYP2D6 inhibitors or those who are CYP2D6 poor metabolizers. 

Bupropion Hydrochloride 150 mg tablets are available in extended-release (XL) and sustained-release (SR) formulations, used primarily for treating major depressive disorder (MDD) and seasonal affective disorder (SAD), as well as for smoking cessation. 

• For depression and SAD: The starting dose is 150 mg once daily, which may be increased to 300 mg once daily after 4 days (for MDD) or after one week (for SAD), based on response and tolerability. 

• For smoking cessation (SR formulation): The dose is 150 mg once daily for the first 3 days, then increased to 150 mg twice daily (total 300 mg/day), with a minimum interval of 8 hours between doses.  Treatment should begin one week before the quit date. 

• Key warnings: Increased risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in children, adolescents, and young adults; seizure risk (dose-related); and potential for hypertension, mania/hypomania, and psychosis. 

• Contraindications: Seizure disorders, history of bulimia or anorexia nervosa, abrupt discontinuation of alcohol or sedatives, and use with MAO inhibitors. 

• Formulations: Available as 150 mg extended-release (XL) tablets (white, round, 7mm) or sustained-release (SR) tablets (purple, round, 11mm), with different inactive ingredients and dosing regimens.
